Meet DJ
Pretty much born with a wrench in my hand
With 32 years of experience and degrees in Automotive Collision & Refinishing and Automotive Mechanics, ICAR Platinum Certified in structural and non-structural, I'm here to fix your vehicle the right way, with the same care that I would fix my own vehicles! My main preferred type of work is auto body collision, however I also do mechanics work as well. When it comes to auto body work, I work with all types of insurance companies to make your vehicle back to better than before your accident!
DJ's Automotive and Collision has been in the making for 32 years! When I was 6 years old, my parents bought their own small mechanic's shop in a small town in Northern Wisconsin. I worked for them until I moved to the Eau Claire area to get both of my degrees in Automotive Collision & Refinishing and Automotive Mechanics. I fell in love with the area and decided to set up roots here in the Eau Claire area.

DJ's Automotive and Collision is more than just an auto body repair shop — it's the result of a shared dream, hard work, and a love story that started around cars.
We first met as teenagers at a local automotive repair shop — David was in tech school for auto body and auto mechanics, and Kari was still in high school. Kari didn’t know much about cars but wanted to learn, which caught David’s attention. He took her under his wing, and we quickly became friends as we worked side by side.
Life took us in different directions for a while — David moved on to an auto body shop, and Kari pursued a career in nursing. But two years later, our paths crossed again. We fell in love, got married, and began building a life together.
From day one, Kari has supported David’s dream of owning a shop. Today, DJ's Automotive and Collision is a true family business. When she's not working as a nurse, Kari is often at the shop with our three kids — helping with phone calls, ordering parts, and managing the shop’s social media. It’s not uncommon to see our whole crew working together to keep things running smoothly.
Our story is built on a love for cars, a passion for helping people, and the belief that when you treat people like family, great things happen — on and off the road.
